Hello, Peaches! I’m sorry to have been absent for so long. The craziness of life and cooler weather household sickness has kept me from here. I am so excited to be back because it’s fall which means fall fashion, holidays, and family fun.
I am so excited to introduce y’all to my first LuLaFix.
What is LuLaFix
The enterprising ladies of LuLaRoe by Amanda & Emily came up with the idea of creating a subscription box for LuLaRoe clothing. For $10 you can choose to have your “fix” sent on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. That $10 goes towards the items in your box if you should choose to keep anything, as well as shipping! What makes this a no lose situation is if you don’t use your $10 it gets credited to your account with Amanda & Emily for you to use on a future purchase! They send five items for you to choose from. Previous purchase history is used to help determine your style but some items outside of your normal comfort zone may be sent. If you are going straight to the LuLaFix without a purchase history it makes it even more fun! The following discount is offered based on the number of items kept.
1-2 items = 10% off
3 items = 15% off
4+ items = 20% off
What is LuLaRoe
In the spirit of full transparency, I’ll be honest, LuLaRoe is a MLM! However, there is much more to the company. First of all, I have several friends who sell it and I’ve never seen the groups as pushy or as having bad customer service. I do not sell LuLaRoe, I am just a satisfied customer. Now for the clothes, the company makes a limited run of prints but a consistent (and growing) set of styles. They are known for their oh-so-comfortable leggings but for me, it was always the Cassie pencil skirt! It can dress up a tee shirt or can be worn in most office environments. Great for date night and girls days. Since LuLaRoe is a direct marketing company you have to purchase from independent distributors. The distributors can order in a certain style but have no control over the patterns they receive which is why you hear about so many people (myself included) who are in multiple “groups”. If you are unfamiliar with LuLaRoe sizing make sure you check out the recommended sizing for each style because they can vary greatly. One of the reasons I love the brand is it’s so FLATTERING on plus size body types. Anyone who is plus size knows our options are very limited so when you find something that works, it’s impossible to turn away.
October 2016 Fix:
1. Randy Tee $35 – Returned
This baseball tee style top is a light heather gray with black sleeves. It is adorable but wasn’t the best fit on me. The Randy Tee does tend to be fitted at the bottom even when sized up. It was one of the most versatile items sent but just wasn’t for me until I lose some more of my baby weight.
2. Cassie Skirt $35 – Kept
I said earlier that the Cassie skirt was my first love. I hesitated on this item because the vertical chevron pattern kinda made me do the head tilt.
Once I styled it though I ended up really liking it. It’s actually a raspberry pink color which may not be on my short list of fall colors it makes me think of sugar plum fairies and with winter holidays coming up I decided to not pass up on it.
3. Patterned Tall & Curvy Leggings $25 – Kept
Since I was the FIRST customer to sign up for the LuLaFix program these were given to me for free! I am not someone who usually wears leggings, much less patterned leggings but these were another situation where once styled I can’t wait to wear them.
4. Irma Tunic $35 – Kept
I am so obsessed with Irma tunic right now. Big and comfy styles are perfect for fall and these oversized Irma’s are perfect. I knew I was keeping it as soon as I took it out of the box.
5. Carly Dress $55 – Kept
The Carly Dress works great on large and small body types. It can be belted or worn flowy and it’s love. This color is another I wasn’t sure about for fall but is great for winter. This is the outfit I’m most excited about from the box. Click here to see my last Carly styling.
