I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas (or other celebration). We had such a blast celebrating with family. Having children makes Christmas so fun! Now that we are past Christmas it means there are gift cards just waiting to be used. I actually got a little shopping in myself yesterday. I’m brining you a roundup of the best Nordstrom Half-Year Sale items (going on until Jan 2!) What are you favorite items from the sale?

Hello, Peaches! I can’t believe it’s been a week since my last post! Wow. I am working on coming up with a posting schedule that let’ y’all know when to visit and I can really commit to. Today I have a FABULOUS day to night maxi dress I have found for y’all. It comes in a wide color range and is available for regular and plus-size purchase. Score! This year I am really into anything faux fur so accessorizing this was an easy choice for me. I wore this look to a daytime Christmas party so I opted for a side braid to dress it down some.
A few tips and tricks for wearing this even better. To make it more casual the dress comes with a fabric belt that works perfect. The fabric is slinky so a tube bralette over you strapless will give it a more seamless look while still offering you support (I didn’t notice how my outline showed through until looking at pictures).
In other new I can’t believe it’s already Christmas week! That means all the things to do over here in procrastination land. Wrapping presents, grocery shopping, making sure I haven’t misplaced any gifts. On top of that I am blessed enough to be in the middle of the interview process for a few positions. I wish y’all an amazing holiday. Let me know what your favorite holiday tradition is below.

You may have figured out by now that I love the color red. When I saw this maxi I had to have it! It’s such a gorgeous color for the Christmas holidays and is versatile for all year round. Plaid is so classic and this poncho is really great for those chilly days. This look is so bold it doesn’t even need accessorizing for those of you who make that your last priority when getting ready. If you did want to dress it up a statement necklace with a vintage hairstyle would look fabulous or you could go the boho route and stack some bracelets on and add a floppy hat and big sunnies! Tell me how you would style these pieces in the comments.

Christmas is coming up quick y’all and that means some great deals on our favorite brands, so I’m sharing some of my personal wishlist items. My list ranges from essentials like a bow blouse to fun statement earrings. These are things that I haven’t managed to pick up yet. I love shopping during the holidays because the stores are always so magical and the deals are so unbeatable. Pro Tip: If you are on a budget don’t forget to save some money for you own shopping during December (when the deals are great). Let me know what’s on your wishlist in the comments

This week has flown by. I really feel like December does this to me every year. If we could only slow down time, just a little. Have you been keeping up with the Dressember challegne? In other news I have an interview today, so I am hoping it’s a great fit. Polka dots are so classic and feminine. This sweater dress has a beautiful fit and flare shape that is truly flattering. Pair it with a boucle jacket for a feminine but grown-up twist. What’s your go to jewlery item?

I have so many errands to run today, and welp, I can, so that’s nice. A little life update: I was laid off from my job two days before Thanksgiving (yes, I have a full time job). It was obviously a huge bummer. I’ve never been laid-off, fired, or “let go” from any job before. Searching for a job during Christmas time is exciting but also limiting. Not as many jobs posted and not as much activity. I pray that this isn’t a drawn out search and I find the right fit not just for me but for my family too. I am so glad I already have this outfit on hand because it has the potential to be a great interview / office outfit. Red is a power color, and one of my favorite colors to wear. I just feel better in red. When I saw this jacket, even though it wasn’t at a place I normally shop at, I fell in love. The dress with stripes is another LuLaRoe gem. Tell me below what your favorite holiday de-stressor is.

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend! The rain is finally supposed to stop here today and I am so excited! My poor pup needs to run around but refuses to go out in the rain, so instead we have a hyper dog inside. This outfit was perfect for our family date. This maxi is so versatile and with a pretty belt and fun jacket it’s perfect love.

It’s still so rainy here this Sunday. The rain has foiled our plans for family photos today so we’ve made alternate plans! Today I opted for a great fitting dress (even over my mommy belly, which is unedited). It’s a flirty style with a serious color scheme. I wish they made it in more colors! The shoes are so basic, but I really feel like every girl needs these in black and nude. They are comfortable enough for a long day of wear but stylish.

To continue with Dressember on this cold and rainy day here in San Antonio, I pieced together this winter floral dress, with a comfy sweater and gold jewelry. If you read my post about my son’s Advent Calendar, we are supposed to go to a tamale festival today, but it’s supposed to rain all day so we are scrambling to find a suitable alternative. Tonight I’m volunteering with Spina Bifida Texas for their annual Christmas party!

Yesterday, I learned about a movement called Dressember. It’s mission is raising funds and awareness to oppose the worldwide trafficking and exploitation of women. The challenge is to wear a dress every day in December! Get creative and revive those dresses. I personally LOVE anything girly and dressy, and unfortunately am running low on items that fit properly. That won’t stop me though! Better late than never, I’m joining the movement.
Will join me in the challenge this month?
